The arrival of Storm Eunice Overnight on Thursday and Friday morning has not resulted in the significant impact initially forecast. A flood warning remains in force due to spray and high winds
This evenings tide is forecast to be lower than the Friday morning tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation and working closely with our partners . Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please activate your flood plan, and avoid using low lying footpaths and roads during this time. Please consider the high winds when travelling.

A severe flood warning is in force for Epney on the Severn Estuary. Severe flooding is expected from Friday morning due to strong winds, high waves and a high tide between 07:30 and 11:30, 18/02/2022. There is danger to life.
You need to take action immediately to implement your emergency flood plan as severe flooding to homes and main roads is expected.
The level at Epney gauge is forecast to reach up to 7 m during the high tide on Friday morning. Levels will remain high for a prolonged period of time due to a tidal surge with very strong winds and large waves.
We are working closely with emergency services. If you feel your life is threatened, please dial 999 for assistance

The arrival of Storm Eunice overnight on Thursday has the potential to cause severe flooding with overtopping of defences, very strong winds and high waves. There is potential for record water levels along the Severn & Wye estuary.
Water levels will be at their highest between 7:30 and 11:30 am Friday morning when flooding to properties, roads and farmland is expected. The level at Epney gauge is forecast to reach up to 7 m on Friday morning. This warning has been issued due to the high tidal surge, significant wave height and wind speed which will cause levels to remain high for a longer period of time.
