Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast. First forecast high water is 20:45 on 11/03/20 with a level of 8.56 mAOD and a Force 6 South Westerly wind. Second forecast high water is 09:00 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.49 mAOD and a Force 6 West South Westerly wind. Times are local and refer to high water time at Avonmouth but impacts may be two hours either side of the high tide. We believe there will be flooding for low lying roads and a possibility for flooding to low lying property along the River Avon from Sea Mills to Conham including Sea Mills Road, The Portway, Cumberland Basin, Commercial Road, Bathurst Basin, Clarence Road, Albert Road, Central Trading Estate and Crews Hole Road. Peak levels will be higher than the tide this morning, 11/03/20. Our staff are closing flood gates. Take care along beaches, promenades and roads as large waves can be dangerous. Tidal River Avon
Strong onshore winds will cause tide levels to rise further. The time and date of the forecast high water is 07:45 on 03/01/2018. The forecast tide is 8.2m AOD. The forecast wind strength and direction is Force 8 Westerly. The tide is forecast to reach flood warning level. Please note all tide times are in local time and are using the 24 hour clock and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth. High tides are forecast throughout the next week, we are monitoring the situation and will update as required.
