This Flood Alert has been issued due to the high tide expected today, Tuesday the 4th of January, as a result of high spring tides and strong winds. Tides will be at their highest between 11:15 to 15:15 today, with high tide expected at 13:15. Areas of concern include Royal Pier Road in Gravesend and low lying land nearest the sea.
Coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tide at 14:15 tomorrow, the 05/01/22. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and are prepared to respond if required.

A large tidal surge is expected to affect the coast this afternoon as a result of low pressure in the North Sea. The tide will peak at 14:45 today Thursday 19/11/2020, however flood conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide.
We expect flooding to affect low lying land, promenades and coastal footpaths. Coastal conditions should ease for subsequent tides after this afternoon.

Tides will be at their highest between 12:30pm and 14:15pm today, 16/11/2020. Flooding to roads and low lying land is expected at these times, however conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Areas likely to see impacts include Royal Pier Road and the Promenade in Gravesend and low lying areas near the coast in Swanscombe and Dartford.

This flood alert has been issued due to the high spring tides combined with large surge forecast for early Monday morning, 13th April 2020. There is the possibility for flooding of roads and low lying land near the coast between 4am and 6:30am tomorrow, 13th April 2020.
