River Mersey
River levels are forecast to rise on the River Mersey due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Mersey, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Sale Water Park from 4:00 PM on 20/02/2022. We will continue to monitor the forecast and issue further flood warnings if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 11:00 AM on 21/02/2022, or as the situation changes.

River Mersey
River levels are rising at the Sale Ees river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall, and will remain high until Friday. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Sale Water Park today, Wednesday 20th January. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. We are currently operating Sale and Didsbury storage basins. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, Thursday 21st January or as the situation changes
