Areas at risk include land adjacent to Borsdane Brook between Rayner Park and Rockingham Drive, Including Platt Lane, Aughton Street, Whitebury Ave and Blackberry Drive. Also at risk, Property next to Hockery Brook Between Wigan Road and Blackberry Drive.

River levels have risen at the First Avenue river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low lying land, roads and farmland is expected. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for land adjacent to Borsdane Brook between Rayner Park and Rockingham Drive. We expect river levels to remain high throughout the 9th February 2020. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

Due to persistent heavy rainfall, river levels are responding very quickly and there is a risk of flooding, with the flood warning threshold met. We expect river levels to peak by approximately 04:30 BST. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation.
