We expect river levels to peak at 8pm this evening, on the 28/01/21. The current forecast suggests that we will not reach any flood warning levels on the Bollin river catchment. However our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue flood warnings if necessary. Currently we do not expect the levels at the Bollington Mill river level gauge to reach the Flood Alert level. However river levels on the River Dean are currently high and there is the potential for flooding upstream of the Water Street, Palmerston Street and Foundry Street in Bollington (Near Macclesfield). Consequently, flooding of low lying land and roads is possible today, on the 27th December 2020, and into tomorrow, the 28th December 2020. Current forecasts are expecting the river level to peak at approximately 1.1m around 21:00 tonight at the Bollington Mill river gauge. Please be aware further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. Our incident response staff are monitoring river levels, and will issue further updates where necessary.
