Western Rother
The Western Rother is high and rising. 35mm of rain has been recorded at Liss, in only a few hours on Thursday. Which is a lot in a short period of time. From 23:00 04/01/2024 flooding will affect properties on Mill Lane and Old Mill Lane, Sheet, and also on Station Road next to the railway line, in Liss. Flooding will be extensive through fields and affect rural roads and gardens. A further 5mm of rain is expected through the early hours of Friday. Very little rain is forecast Friday daytime through to next week. The river should begin to fall by 04:00 05/01/2024, but will be higher than normal until Friday evening.
