River Blackwater
Water levels in the River Blackwater are high and rising. Heavy rainfall overnight, along with some short sharp showers today, has seen 20mm (almost an inch) of rainfall recorded in Romsey. Over the next few hours water levels will be very high around the Mill building at Wellow. As long as pumps are operating, we do not expect property flooding. Showers, bringing much smaller volumes of rain, are forecast from Friday onwards. At present, these showers could cause the river to rise and fall, but after this evening, further impacts are not expected. We will continue to monitor the river. Please ensure pumps used to protect property are operating correctly. This message will be updated by 10:00 on Thursday 07/03/2019.
