Flooding is expected from 1:30 PM on Saturday 19th July 2025. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Colne, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Shetland Close. Further rainfall is forecast throughout the day. We are monitoring rainfall, river levels, and clearing screens and blockages. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and activate any property flood protection products you may have. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 7:00 PM on Saturday 19th July, or as the situation changes.
Radlett Brook
River levels have been rising rapidly on the Radlett and Borehamwood Brooks at Borehamwood as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of property is possible from 4pm this afternoon, Friday 18 June. Flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside gardens is possible. Further rainfall is forecast this evening and river levels may remain high, before receding later tonight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages. Please monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
