River Gade, River Bulbourne
Although yesterday’s rain has now passed, we are still seeing high water levels in parts of the Gade and Bulbourne catchments.
We expect rivers to remain high during today (Friday 15 January) and there is likely to be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the rivers throughout the day. Flooding from surface water, where water gathers and flows off road surfaces, could also occur.
Friday will be dry although some further rain is forecast on Saturday. Although this rainfall will be less than earlier in the week it will be falling on saturated catchments and could have some impact.
We are closely monitoring the situation. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions.
We are continuing to monitor river levels and have staff in the field checking for and clearing blockages in this location.
