However, further heavy rainfall today, Sunday 10th December, is forecast to push river levels higher again meaning the risk of flooding to roads and low lying land remains. The forecast for Monday 11th December and Tuesday 12th December is much drier so we expect that the risk of flooding will start reducing from tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Although this rainfall will be less than we have received in the last few days it will fall on saturated catchments and could cause river levels to rise again.
