A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Ardersier to Nairn. A combination of spring high tides, strong winds and storm surge means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along Moray Firth from Ardersier to Nairn. Low lying parts of Ardersier and Nairn are at risk of flooding. Areas at risk of flooding in Nairn include Harbour Street, Shore Street and Maggot Road. Flooding is expected for the hours either side of high tide on Thursday afternoon around 14:00 GMT. The high tide on Thursday afternoon will be the highest of any of the tides this week. There is also a risk of flooding overnight into Friday morning around the high tide at 02.30 GMT as winds move round to the North and will be near gale force for a time increasing wave heights along the Moray coast. An updated FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Ardersier to Nairn. A combination of high tides, strong winds and storm surge means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along Moray Firth from Ardersier to Nairn. Low lying parts of Ardersier and Nairn are at risk of flooding. Areas at risk of flooding in Nairn include Harbour Street, Shore Street and Maggot Road. Flooding is expected around the times of the high tides on Sunday 00.00 GMT. Weather conditions are generally improving over Monday with the worst of the impacts expected over Sunday evening into the early hours of Monday. There could still be a small chance of flooding over the course of Monday. If the situation changes an updated flood warning will be issued on Monday.
