Inverness City (Ness Bridge to Friars Bridge)
A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Inverness City (Ness Bridge to Friars Bridge).
A combination of high tides and high river flows mean that the flood gates between Friars Bridge and Ness Bridge will be closed. This will close the Greig Street suspension bridge and Friars Bridge underpass.
Areas behind the River Ness Flood Alleviation Scheme will be protected. Land to the riverside of these defences is at risk from flooding.
High water level at Inverness Harbour is predicted to be around midnight tonight (at 23:00 Sunday till 02:00 Monday).
