River levels have peaked and begun to fall in the Great Stour from Lenham Heath to Hothfield. The river levels peaked at around midnight, and will continue to fall through Tuesday morning. Ground conditions remain very wet following rainfall on Monday, and there will continue to be some flooding impacts. The situation will improve through Tuesday. The Flood Storage Area at Hothfield is storing floodwater, reducing river levels and flood impacts downstream. We will continue to monitor the situation, and will update this message on Tuesday morning.

River levels are peaking in the Great Stour from Lenham Heath to Hothfield between 11pm and midnight, Monday 30th April. No further increase in river levels is expected. River levels are forecast to fall overnight. We will continue to monitor river levels through the night, and will update this message as the situation changes.

River levels are rising in response to the heavy rainfall early on Monday 30 April. Flooding of property close to the river Great Stour is expected. River levels are expected to continue to rise this afternoon and peak early evening. The current forecast is for rain to continue this afternoon and cease by early evening. We will continue to monitor levels and update this message if conditions change.
