This Flood Warning has been issued as the heavy rain currently being experienced may lead to property flooding overnight. Flooding to property is forecast from 11:45pm, Wednesday 20 October. Flooding is likely in multiple areas along rivers in the area, properties are particularly at risk in the Crayford and Dartford areas including around Greyhound Way and Crayford Way. There is still uncertainty in the forecast and not all areas may be affected. Surface water flooding is also likely throughout this period. Heavy rain will continue during Thursday morning though water levels and flooding should quickly reduce once the rain stops. Standing flood water is likely to remain in places. Please take action to protect yourself and your property if you believe you are at risk, try to avoid contact with flood water in the areas mentioned. We will be closely monitoring the situation and will have staff working to keep rivers in the area clear. This message will be updated by 10am Thursday or sooner if the situation worsens.
