Flooding is expected to continue overnight with further showers expected until midday Monday 6th January 2025.

They will remain high at Hever and not expected to peak at Penshurst until early morning on Friday 18 November. No further significant rain is forecast for at least 72 hours. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message by 11am on Friday 18 November.

We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties around Haxted Mill and Haxted Road and properties along the River Eden and Eden Brook around Haxted Mill, Edenbridge and Hever. This Flood Warning has been issued following heavy rainfall overnight. We expect flooding to affect properties around Haxted Mill and Haxted Road and properties along the River Eden and Eden Brook around Haxted Mill, Edenbridge and Hever. We also expect properties at Lingfield and Haxted Mill to be affected. Further rainfall is possible over the next hour until 4am on 21/10/2021. No further rainfall is expected after this. We expect river levels to remain high until 10am on 21/10/2021. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and our partners, and are out on the ground checking and clearing any blockages and debris from rivers. Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued. If you have any property flood resilience measures, please deploy them now. Please take action to protect yourself and your property if you believe you are at risk, try to avoid contact with flood water in the areas mentioned. Following heavy overnight rainfall on wet catchments, river levels have risen sharply in the Rivers Eden and Eden Brook.
It is expected that there will be further rainfall until 06:00 this morning, after which occasional showers are forecast.
It is possible that there may be property flooding in the area around Haxted Mill and Haxted Road. This may occur as soon as 06:30 today or soon after.
At this stage flooding further down stream in Edenbridge is not expected. However, we will continue to monitor rainfall and river levels and will update this message by 14:00 today, 28 January 2021, or sooner if required.
We are monitoring the situation and have teams patrolling the catchment.
Members of the public should avoid flood water and stay aware for further information. Should your property be in the named area you should consider moving valuables and putting into action your flood plan.

River levels are very high as a result of persistent heavy rainfall yesterday. Flooding of low lying properties, roads and farmland is possible at Lingfield and Haxted Mill during the early hours of Friday morning, 6 March. River levels are expected to peak between 2am and 6am between Lingfield and Edenbridge. River levels are not currently expected to cause flooding to property between Edenbridge and Penshurst, but residents of low lying properties should remain prepared. No further rainfall is forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This Flood Warning message will be updated or removed by 12pm on Friday 6th March, or as the situation changes.

River levels in Edenbridge are expected to be slightly higher than was seen on 20 December 2019. Property flooding is expected to continue through this evening as river levels continue to rise. Peak levels are expected overnight Sunday into Monday, 17 February. We are closely monitoring the situation. River levels are rising sharply as a result of heavy rainfall associated with Storm Dennis. There is now a possibility of flooding for low-lying properties along the River Eden and Eden Brook around Haxted Mill, Edenbridge and Hever. The river is expected to reach a height comparable to just before Christmas 2019. Flooding could commence from mid-morning on Sunday 16 February and endure through Sunday with the peak being reached overnight Sunday into Monday. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff will be checking our structures and clearing blockages where it is safe to do so. We will also have a visible presence in Edenbridge from mid morning.
