River levels remain high as a result of persistent heavy rainfall on Thursday 5 March 2020. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for low lying land and roads close to the river, particularly in the Crowhurst Bridge area and around Shrub Lane, and for low lying land and roads along the River Rother, particularly around Robertsbridge. No further rainfall is forecast and river levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. However, flooding of low lying land and farmland is possible this evening and overnight into Saturday morning, 15 February. Further light showers are possible this evening which could cause river levels to rise again during Saturday morning. River levels on the Rother remain high and are rising again in response to heavy showers this afternoon, Sunday 31 December. Further isolated heavy showers are possible this evening but it is expected to be largely dry overnight. Flooding of low lying land around Crowhurst Bridge, Etchingham and at Robertsbridge is possible overnight into New Year's Day morning. Further heavy showers are possible during the day tomorrow, Monday 1 January. Please be careful in areas close to the river channel and be aware of your surroundings. River levels on the Rother will remain high throughout the day today, Sunday 31 December, in response to rainfall seen overnight and this morning. Further showers are passing the area later today and overnight. This will be sufficient to maintain high river levels and could cause some minor flooding of low lying land around Crowhurst Bridge and Etchingham adjacent to the river. River levels on the Rother have risen quickly today in response to heavy rainfall seen this morning, Friday 29 December 2017. River levels will remain high throughout this evening and with further rainfall forecasted for tonight, river levels will remain high into Saturday 30 December, peaking during the morning. Flooding of low lying land and areas close to the river channel is expected, however property flooding is not expected at this time. Please remain safe in the areas of concern. We have duty staff constantly monitoring river levels and have staff ready to remove any blockages which may occur in the river channel. This message will be updated on the morning of Saturday 30 December or sooner if conditions change.

River levels on the Rother have risen in response to the rainfall seen today, Wednesday 27 December, and will continue to remain high throughout this evening and into Thursdayday 28 December. We are continuing to monitor the situation, but with a dry day forecasted for Thursday 28 December, we anticipate river levels falling to a more normal level by Thursday evening. Friday 29 December and into the weekend may see further showers and we will monitor the situation closely and re-issue flood alerts if necessary. This message will be updated on the morning of Thursday 28 December.

River levels on the Rother are high in response to heavy rainfall overnight. Further rainfall is expected this morning which will clear through the afternoon. River levels will remain high throughout the day, with levels on the Rother expected to peak at approximately 11am at Crowhurst Bridge, 2pm at Etchingham and 4pm at Robertsbridge. Thursday will be more settled but further rain is expected later this week. We are monitoring the situation closely and we do not currently expect property flooding to happen.
