River levels have risen as a result of Storm Ciara Consequently, flooding of property is imminent. Further rainfall is forecast over the next few hours. We expect river levels to remain high until midday 09/02/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident rooms are open. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

Green Brook, Sweet Clough
River levels are forecast to rise at the A2 Dryden Street river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding could occur between 21:00 on 28/07/19 and 06:00 on 29/07/19, but there is low confidence given the unpredictable nature of the rainfall. Properties in the vicinity of Bear Street, Shakespeare Street, Palmerston Street, Thompson Street and Greenbridge Mill are at risk.
Further rainfall is forecast overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
