High river levels and heavy rain overnight have caused flooding in some areas. Weather conditions are expected to improve later this morning 01/01/2025 and river levels will then begin to gradually fall. We are closely monitoring the situation including rainfall and river levels. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.

High river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening. Flooding is expected from 7:30 PM on 31/12/2024. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Boyces Brook and Duddel Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Boyces Brook and Duddel Brook at Ribchester, Sarmatian Fold, Fort Avenue, Anchor Hill Close, Church Street and Ribchester Arms.
