High river levels and heavy rain overnight have caused flooding in some areas. Weather conditions are expected to improve later this morning 01/01/2025 and river levels will then begin to gradually fall. We are closely monitoring the situation including rainfall and river levels. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.

High river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening. Flooding is expected from 8:15 PM on 31/12/2024. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Heys Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties on Bridge Road close to Chatburn Bridge and low lying properties to the east of Ribble Lane. We are clearing debris from weed screens and closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 8:00 AM on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
