River levels have risen at the Skerton Weir river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall overnight. Consequently, flooding could occur between 04:45 and 06:30 on 02/11/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

River Lune
River levels remain high at Skerton Weir as a result of Storm Ciara. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Affected areas include low lying land and paths next to the River Lune from the M6 to the Lune Aqueduct including Halton Training Camp, Riverside Park Industrial Estate and Lansil Way. We expect river levels to remain high throughout today, 09/02/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated as the situation changes.
