River Lune
River levels are expected to remain high throughout the afternoon on 01/01/2025. Areas most at risk include low lying land and paths next to the River Lune from the M6 to the Lune Aqueduct including Halton Training Camp, Riverside Park Industrial Estate and Lansil Way. We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 06:00 PM on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. Flooding is expected from 1:00 AM on 01/01/2025. Areas most at risk include low lying land and paths next to the River Lune from the M6 to the Lune Aqueduct including Halton Training Camp, Riverside Park Industrial Estate and Lansil Way.
