Heavy rainfall is expected across Lancashire during this evening and into the early hours of Wednesday 24th October. River levels are expected to peak in the Upper Ribble catchment on Wednesday 24th October at 4am . We do not expect river levels to exceed flood alert level and therefore we are not expecting to issue a flood warning in this area.

Rain will continue during the day, easing later this afternoon. We are monitoring river levels closely. Our Operational Teams are out on the ground checking and clearing blockages from rivers.
