River levels are rising due to recent heavy rainfall. Property flooding is expected near the River Irwell, particularly around Irwell Vale, Aitken Street, Bowker Street, Chapel Terrace, Hardsough Fold, Milne Street and Parkinson Fold. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
