River levels have risen on the River Anker and River Sence as a result of a band of heavy showery rain passing through the catchment yesterday afternoon and evening. This has resulted in river levels rising in this area today, Saturday 31st March. There may be flooding to low lying land and roads in the area. Two flood warnings for the River Sence from Temple Mill to Sheepy Magna and River Anker at Mancetter, Witherley and Atherstone have already been issued. Remain vigilant as further rain is expected on Monday 2 April which may lead to further flood risk. We will continue to monitor river levels in this location.
