Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected from the afternoon of 28 February 2026 Areas most at risk are Rothley. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Rothley Gauge are rising rapidly due to the nature of the catchment. Levels will remain high until approximately midnight tonight, 28/02/2026. We are closely monitoring the situation . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one .
