Historical Flood Warnings for this Area

Flood Warning issued on 6 Jan 2025 23:31
Louth Canal, Poulton Drain, New Dyke, Mother Drain
Heavy rain has fallen in the Louth Canal catchment. This is causing the Louth Canal to rise and it is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near to river are already flooded and we now expect properties in Austen Fen close to the Louth Canal in Grainthorpe, Louth to be affected first. No significant further heavy rainfall is forecast for the next few days, however high flows from upstream coupled with high tide mean river levels are likely to continue to rise. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on 07/01/25, or before if the situation changes.
