River Ancholme, Old River Ancholme
Recent heavy rain has fallen on the Lower Ancholme catchment, onto already saturated ground. There is no further rainfall forecast for today, but the River Ancholme will be unable to discharge into the sea during tidelock, associated with the high tide this morning in the early hours. There is uncertainty in the forecast, but flooding impact from the River Ancholme is most likely between approximately 3am this morning, Sunday, 7th February, and 4am. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the Emergency Services and Council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated for further tide lock conditions on Sunday, 7th February, or as the situation changes.

There is no further rainfall forecast for today, but the River Ancholme will be unable to discharge into the sea during tidelock, associated with the high tide at midnight tonight. There is uncertainty in the forecast, but flooding impact from the River Ancholme is most likely between approximately 10pm this evening, Wednesday, 3rd February, and 2am tomorrow early morning, Thursday, 4th February. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the Emergency Services and Council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated for further tide lock conditions on Thursday, 4th February.
