River Witham
Heavy rain is currently falling in the River Witham catchment and will continue throughout this morning Monday 6th January 2025. This is causing the River Witham to rise and it is forecast to continue to rise through the day. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties in Marston to be affected from this afternoon onwards. Low lying properties near the river on Hougham Mill Lane in Marston are expected to be affected first. Further rain is forecast for the morning of Monday 6th January. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 12:00 on 07/01/25, or before if the situation changes.
