Low lying properties near the river on Village Street in Sedgebrook are expected to be affected first. Heavy rain has been falling across Lincolnshire over the past 24 hours and is expected to continue throughout Sunday. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads, and due to the deteriorating weather conditions we now expect parts of the A1 road and properties in Sedgebrook to be affected from the early morning on Sunday 16 Feb onwards. Conditions will improve by Monday 17 Feb. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings, avoid contact with flood water, avoid riverside paths and please stay away from river embankments. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences and clear blockages. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated by 17 Feb, or as the situation changes.
