Due to the heavy rainfall over the last 48 hours we have seen the levels rise in Dover Brook, levels are starting to recede. Flooding to properties is still possible. Flooding is expected to affect properties on Hall Lane, Damfield Lane, Fouracres, Old Racecourse Road, Sefton Lane and Sefton Drive We expect levels to remain high in Dovers Brook until Friday 22nd January. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message this afternoon Thursday 21st January or as the situation changes.

Intense rainfall has resulted in rising river levels on Dovers Brook. Flooding of properties, roads and farmland is expected around 22:00 today 20/02/2021. We expect river levels to peak at 3.2m at 01:00, 21/01/2021. Flooding is expected to affect properties on Hall Lane, Damfield Lane, Fouracres, Old Racecourse Road, Sefton Lane and Sefton Drive. A Severe Warning has been issued because water is expected to be deep and fast flowing. Emergency plans are underway. If you believe that you are in immediate danger, please call 999. If you need to leave your house or you wish to stay with family or friends due to flooding, you will not be in breach of coronavirus laws and no legal action will be taken. Water levels remain high until 11:00 tomorrow, 21/01/21. We are closely monitoring the situation and staff are on site.
