River levels are rising on the Rainford Brook due to persistent rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Rainford Brook, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around land and property close to Rainford Brook. Flooding is affecting land and property close to Rainford Brook between 01:00 AM and 04:00 AM on 24/07/2023. Further rainfall is forecast overnight. River levels are remaining high, but the risk of flooding to properties remains. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Consider activating any property flood protection products. Consequently, flooding of property is possible, and levels will remain high throughout today, 21/01/2021. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for land and property close to Rainford Brook. River levels are rising at the Causey Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and will remain high until Friday. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for land and property close to Rainford Brook. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
