River levels are forecast to rise in response to the current weather conditions. Areas most at risk are around Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Mary's, Benwick and Welney. Further heavy rainfall is expected over the 12 hours which will keep river levels high and could also lead to some surface water problems. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 9am tomorrow, 06/08/23, or if the situation changes.

The Chatteris and March rain gauges have recorded significant rainfall over the last 24 hours as a result of the bands of heavy rainfall passing over the catchment. Consequently, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is possible over the next couple of days. Areas likely to be affected are Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Mary’s, Benwick and Welney.
There is potential for some further rainfall today, Monday 24th October, although this is not expected to be significant.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying roads and footpaths which are flooded.

The Chatteris rain gauge has recorded significant rainfall over the last 24 hours as a result of the bands of heavy rainfall passing over the catchment. Consequently, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is possible over the next couple of days. Areas likely to be affected are Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Mary’s, Benwick and Welney.
Further rainfall is expected later today, Sunday 23rd and into tomorrow Monday 24th October.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying roads and footpaths which are flooded.

We expect flooding to affect Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Marys, Benwick and Welney. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
