River levels are rising rapidly on the Hellifield Beck due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is affecting properties on Park Place, Park Crescent, Back Lane, Main Street close to the railway line and Lancashire and Yorkshire Terrace from 06:00 PM on 09/12/2023. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout the evening. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
