River Tees
River levels on the River Tees at Croft river gauge remain high but are predicted to begin to fall overnight. This flood warning remains in place but it is expected to be removed tomorrow. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated by 11:00 tomorrow morning (10/02/2020) or earlier if the situation changes.

River Tees
River levels have risen on the River Tees at the Croft river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall caused by Storm Ciara. Property flooding is expected between 15:30 and 18:00 this afternoon, 09/02/2020. Areas most at risk are properties in Croft-on-Tees, including Monk End Farm and Spa Cottage. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. No further heavy rainfall is forecast today, 09/02/2020. The River Tees will begin to recede overnight and into tomorrow morning. Some blustery showers are forecast for the remainder of today and overnight into tomorrow morning, but these should not impact river levels further. We are closely monitoring the situation.
