We are issuing the flood warning for the River Swale at Catterick Bridge due to heavy rain associated with Storm Ciara. Widespread heavy rain accompanied by high winds will continue through Sunday 09/02/2020, causing river levels to rise. The level of the Swale at Catterick Bridge is now 2.96m and is forecast to rise, peaking at 3.45m at 16:30 hours this afternoon. We are monitoring the situation closely. The Area Incident Room is open, and operational staff are out clearing trash screens. We will update this message in 8 hours or as the situation changes.
