River levels on the lower River Ure have risen as a result of heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours. Consequently, flooding is possible today, Sunday 11th August. The area most at risk is Roecliffe Caravan Park. A peak level of 1.6m is currently forecast at Westwick Weir between 09:00 and 10:00 on Sunday morning. We expect river levels to fall from mid-day as no further significant rainfall is expected today (11.08.19). Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and activate local or property flood plans. River levels can be viewed on the GOV.UK website. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

River levels in Boroughbridge are now falling steadily. We expect to be able to remove this flood warning later this morning, Monday 18.3.19. Flooding of low lying land and footpaths remains possible. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. The river level at Boroughbridge peaked at 2pm on Sunday 17/03/19 and is falling slowly. We expect river levels to remain high through to Monday. River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall on Saturday (16/3/2019) in the Ure catchment. The area most at risk is Roecliffe Caravan Park. The level of the River Ure at Boroughbridge is 15m and is peaking around this level between 11am and 2pm today (17/3/2019). . We expect river levels to remain high through to Monday. River levels on the River Ure are rising as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is possible this evening, Tuesday, and overnight into Wednesday. The area most at risk is Roecliffe Caravan Park. We expect river levels to rise until around 10pm tonight, Tuesday 12/03/19. After 10pm little further rise is expected, but the river will remain high through the night. A peak level of just over 1.6m is expected at Westwick Weir. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and will operate local defences this evening. River levels on the Ure remain high but steady following heavy rain over the last few days. The current river level upstream of Westwick Weir is 1.61m. We expect the river to remain at this level throughout the evening and may begin to recede tomorrow morning (Sunday 10th February). Please stay aware of your surroundings and do not put yourself at risk. Be prepared to act on your flood plan. We continue to monitor the situation. The Ure level upstream of the weir at Westwick Weir is currently 1.48m and is expected to peak just above 1.6m between 7 and 8 pm this evening. This flood warning remains in force due to high levels on the River Ure around Westwick Weir. Levels on the River Ure are currently peaking. The levels at Boroughbridge are expected to peaked at around 13.5m early Wednesday morning. Levels will start to fall however rainfall is forecast across the catchment throughout Wednesday which could result in levels rising again. The level at Westwick Weir is expected to continue rising to reach around 1.7m between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday. The level at Boroughbridge is forecast to peak around 13.7m.
