River levels on the lower River Ure have risen as a result of heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours. Consequently, flooding is possible today, Sunday 11th August. The area most at risk is Roecliffe Caravan Park. A peak level of 1.6m is currently forecast at Westwick Weir between 09:00 and 10:00 on Sunday morning. We expect river levels to fall from mid-day as no further significant rainfall is expected today (11.08.19). Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and activate local or property flood plans. River levels can be viewed on the GOV.UK website.
