River levels are forecast to rise to 1.9m as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Dennis. Consequently, flooding of property and roads is possible around 11:30am on Sunday 16/02/20. Areas most at risk are riverside properties and businesses of Knaresborough. We expect river levels to remain high until 5:00pm on Sunday 16/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded. This flood warning remains in force due to heavy rain associated with Storm Ciara causing rivers and watercourses to rise. Water levels at Knaresborough are currently 1.9m and starting to fall. No significant further rainfall is expected and river levels will continue to fall slowly throughout the night. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. We are issuing the flood warning for the River Nidd at Knaresborough caravan parks due to heavy rain, associated with Storm Ciara, overnight on Saturday and continuing on Sunday morning, 09/02/2020, causing rivers and watercourses to rise. Water levels at Knaresborough are currently 1.6m and forecast to reach 1.9m at 14:45 on Sunday 09/02/2020, peaking around 2.2m at 9pm on Sunday.
