No further significant rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours. However, river levels will remain high into the early hours of Friday morning, 22/01/2021. The areas most at risk are properties in the Hawthorn Mews area. The Foss Barrier is in operation and flood gates are closed. This warning has been issued in response to rising river levels on the River Foss at Huntington due to prolonged rainfall. Levels are rising and are expected to continue to rise into the early hours of Thursday morning, 21/01/2021. Levels at Huntington are expected to reach 2.6m between 07:00 and 08:00 hours on Thursday morning. The Foss Barrier is in operation and flood gates are closed.
