The Flood Alert for the River Dove catchment has been issued as river levels are forecast to rise overnight (Tuesday 02.02.21) into tomorrow morning as a result of todays rainfall and snow melt. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. Areas most at risk are low lying land around the River Dove and it's tributaries, including Fish Beck, Bloworth Slack, Hodge Beck and Ouse Gill. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded, and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated on Wednesday morning (03.02.21), or as the situation changes.

Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads particularly around Kirkby Mills. Please be aware that persistent and heavy rain is forecast until early Thursday 21/01/2021. We expect river levels to continue to rise in response to this additional rainfall.
