Flooding could affect low-lying land around the River Dove and its tributaries, including Fish Beck, Bloworth Slack, Hodge Beck, Ouse Gill, including properties of Kirkby Mills, Keldholme and Kirkbymoorside. Further rainfall is forecast today Tuesday 02/01/24. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. The flood alert for the Dove Catchment has been issued as river levels are rising following persistent rain which is expected to continue throughout this evening, Thursday 7/12/2023 and overnight into Friday. Levels are expected to peak in the early hours and fall through Friday morning. Avoid using low lying land and footpaths near local watercourses. We continue to monitor levels closely.
