River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold and we expect to be able to remove this flood warning in the morning. Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next few days although this is not expected to have a significant effect on river levels. We continue to monitor the situation. River levels rose on the River Aire at Cross Hills as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. River levels will remain high throughout today. Areas most at risk are Cross Hills and the Airedale Trading Park. No further significant rainfall is forecast, and we expect river levels to begin falling this evening and throughout the night. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and put your flood plan into action. River levels are rising on the River Aire at Cross Hills as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible between midnight tonight, Sunday 20/02/2022, and into tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022. Areas most at risk are Cross Hills and the Airedale Trading Park. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high though tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022, when they will then be able to slowly start to fall. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and put your flood plan into action. As a result there is an ongoing risk of flooding to the outbuildings and the industrial estate next to the roundabout. Properties along Station Road are also at risk. The main band of rain has now passed, and levels are no longer rising, however we expect levels to remain high going into Thursday, before falling later in the day. Water will remain in Cononley washlands for some time. We are closely monitoring the situation.
