River levels are continuing to fall on the River Aire at Ings Lane. River levels are rising as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall. This rain is forecast to continue through much of today, Sunday 20th February. Levels at Ings Beck are forecast to continue to rise until about 10am this morning. A second peak is forecast for later this afternoon. Area of concern include properties along Ings Lane and Engine Shed Lane. We are monitoring the situation closely. River levels have now peaked and are beginning to fall. Further scattered rainfall is forecast overnight and into Monday (10/02/2020). However we expect the risk of flooding to reduce as we do not anticipate any significant river response. River levels have risen as a result of persistent heavy rainfall overnight and this morning, 09/02/20, due to Storm Ciara. A further heavy band of rain is causing the river to continue to rise and we may already be seeing flood impacts in the area. Property flooding is possible over the next hour today, 09/02/20.
