The River Aire at Chapel Haddlesey and levels in Birkin Holme Washlands remain elevated as the river level peak from Storm Ciara travels down the River Aire. This warning will remain in force until levels have reduced and the risk has passed. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and do not walk or drive through fast moving water. The River Aire at Chapel Haddlesey and levels in Birkin Holme Washlands remain elevated as the river level peak from Storm Ciara travels down the River Aire. River levels have been steadily falling at Beal today, however this warning will remain in force until levels have reduced more significantly and the risk has passed. Further scattered showers are forecast tonight and tomorrow, 12/02/20, however we do not anticipate additional river level response. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and do not walk or drive through fast moving water. River levels remain high as a result of the recent heavy rainfall associated with Storm Ciara. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible this morning, 11/02/20. Areas most at risk are West Haddlesey and Chapel Haddlesey. Further showers are forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation and the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected overnight and into Tuesday morning, 11/02/20. Areas most at risk are West Haddlesey and Chapel Haddlesey. Further showers are forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation and the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water. his flood warning remains in force as levels at Birkin Holme Washlands remain high. There is no further rainfall forecast today (2nd October) so we expect river levels and washland levels to slowly fall throughout today. This flood warning remains in force as levels at Birkin Holme Washlands are still high. There is no further rainfall is forecast today (2nd October) and we expect river levels to continue to fall throughout the day, allowing the washlands to empty. We will continue to monitor the situation from our incident room in Leeds and will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes. River levels have risen. as a result of recent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected. Areas most at risk are West Haddlesey and Chapel Haddlesey. Levels within Birkin Holme Washlands are high and are currently rising. Levels in the River Aire are also high and therefore will slow the rate at which the Washlands will empty. No further rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to begin falling at 11pm on 1st October 2019. We are closely monitoring the forecast and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and airbrick covers.
