Levels should peak around 09:00 this morning before slowly falling during the day. Further rain is expected today so river levels are likely to respond again. River levels remain high, however are beginning to fall on the River Aire. Levels in the washlands upstream of West Haddlesey (Birkin Holme and West Holme) are beginning to stabilise and have begun to fall today, 22/10/23.We will continue to monitor levels closely and re-issue this warning if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. With no further, significant, rainfall forecast for 22nd and 23rd October 2023 the situation in relation to flood risk is expected to improve.
