This Flood Warning has been issued due to strong winds, surge and high spring tides on the coast for the tide this evening, Monday 08/04/2024. Areas most at risk include Rawcliffe, Rawcliffe Bridge and Rawcliffe Road between Rawcliffe and the M62. This includes Rawcliffe Pastures, West Pasture Farm and Percy Lodge and also large areas of Goole bounded by River Ouse, M62 and the docks. Flooding is possible between 17:45 and 21:45 today, Monday 08/04/2024. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next few days and as a result we may issue further alerts/warnings. The forecasted tidal information for those who use it is for a peak level at Goole of 5.74m AOD at 19:45 today. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. This message will be updated by 21:00 PM on 08/04/2024, or as the situation changes.
