River levels are still high in the Earby Beck Catchment due to heavy rainfall throughout Saturday 23rd and into Sunday 24th November from Storm Bert, as well as melt water due to rising temperature. Flooding is possible.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Earby Beck, New Cut, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Earby, Broughton.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads near rivers.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.

River levels are rising in the Earby Beck Catchment due to heavy rainfall throughout Saturday 23rd November from Storm Bert as well as melt water due to rising temperature. River levels are rising as a result and flooding is possible.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Earby Beck, New Cut, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Earby, Broughton.

Earby Beck, New Cut
River levels are expected to rise this evening in response to heavy rainfall. Based on the current forecast, Earby Beck is due to peak around 23:30 today, Wednesday 16 October, and the New Cut in the early hours of Thursday morning. Levels are then expected to fall going into daylight hours Thursday, with the heaviest rain having moved away.
Flooding may affect locations near the Earby Beck and New Cut, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Earby and Broughton.
Weather conditions are expected to improve tomorrow morning and no further flooding is expected.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not walk or drive through flood water.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue flood warnings if needed.

River levels are rising due to persistent rainfall and snowmelt affecting the Earby Beck and New Cut catchments through this evening (09/02/2024) and overnight into tomorrow (Saturday, 10/02/2024).
Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads near Earby Beck. Levels on Earby Beck and New Cut will remain high throughout tomorrow (Saturday, 10/02/2024) but we are not currently expecting to issue any warnings for this catchment.
We will continue to monitor rainfall and river levels closely.

River levels are rising due to further heavy rainfall affecting the Earby Beck and New Cut catchments through this evening, Saturday 9 December.
Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads near Earby Beck. Levels on Earby Beck are expected to peak around 8pm and New Cut around 10pm this evening. Further unsettled weather is expected throughout the rest of the weekend.
