Heavy rain has fallen in the Willow Brook catchment causing Willow Brook to rise. Further rain is forecast tomorrow, Wednesday 27th November. Levels are expected to remain high for several days. Low lying areas near to the brook are already flooded and we expect properties to be affected. Low lying properties on Hall Yard close to the Willow Brook in Kings Cliffe are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. This is causing Willow Brook to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the evening. Low lying areas near to the brook are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected this evening. Low lying properties on Hall Yard close to the Willow Brook in Kings Cliffe are expected to be affected first. Further rain is forecast for today, and therefore river levels will remain high overnight. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Heavy rain has fallen on the Willow Brook catchment over the last few days. The rising river levels have caused flooding of low lying land and roads in and around Weldon and Kings Cliffe. The levels have now stabilised but remain high. We expect the levels to drop tomorrow (Friday, 25th December) and be able to remove this warning as a result. Remain safe, be aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water. Avoid riverside paths and please stay away from river embankments. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the Emergency Services and Council. Heavy rain has fallen on the Willow Brook catchment today and is expected to continue into the early hours of tomorrow morning, Thursday, 24th December. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads in and around Weldon and Kings Cliffe and due to the deteriorating weather we now expect properties in the area to be affected from this evening (23rd Dec) onwards. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. The river is forecast to continue to rise and peak overnight. The impacts are likely to last until tomorrow and improve thereafter. Remain safe, be aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water. Avoid riverside paths and please stay away from river embankments.
