Heavy rain has fallen in the upper River Nene catchment causing the river to rise. Further rain is forecast tomorrow, Wednesday 27th November. Levels are expected to remain high for several days. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we expect properties to be affected. Properties on Church Street in Nether Heyford and properties close to the river Nene in Upper Heyford are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by Wednesday 27th November, or before if the situation changes.

This is causing the river to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected. Properties on Church Street in Nether Heyford and properties close to the river Nene in Upper Heyford are expected to be affected first. Further rain is forecast, and therefore river levels will remain high overnight. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water.
