Heavy rain has fallen in the River Jordan catchment causing the River Jordan to rise. Levels are expected to remain high for several days. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we expect properties to be affected. Properties on Rectory Lane in Market Harborough are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on Tuesday 26th November, or before if the situation changes.

Heavy rain is currently falling in the River Jordan catchment and will continue throughout this evening, Sunday 24th November. This is causing River Jordan to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected this evening onwards. Properties on Rectory Lane in Market Harborough are expected to be affected first. Further heavy rainfall is forecast for this evening, Sunday 24th November, and therefore river levels are expected to remain high over the next few days. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water.
