Overnight rainfall will see that levels will continue to rise throughout this morning and will remain high for the remainder of today (Monday 2nd April). There may be flooding to low lying land and roads in the area. Remain vigilant as further rain is expected throughout today, which may lead to further flood risk. Levels on the River Stour in South Warwickshire are still high but are steadily falling with low lying land and roads still remaining at risk of flooding. They will continue to fall as light scattered showers are expected today. At the time of this statement flooding of properties is not expected and no flood warnings are expected to be issued. Heavy showery rain yesterday and overnight has resulted in levels rising on the River Stour today (Friday 30th March) and there may be flooding to low lying land and roads tomorrow (Saturday 31st March) in this area. River levels are expected to continue rising as the area is affected by the current bands of heavy showery rain until the early hours of tomorrow morning. This Flood Alert is issued as a precaution based on river level forecast. At the time of this statement flooding of properties is not expected and no flood warnings are expected to be issued. As a result of todays rainfall, river levels have risen on the River Stour in Warwickshire with flooding to low lying land and roads now expected. River levels are expected to remain high throughout the evening and overnight. No flooding of property is currently expected. Please take care near watercourses and check the GOV.UK website for further information. The Environment Agency has had field staff out clearing trash screens and are closely monitoring the situation.

Heavy and prolonged rainfall has fallen overnight on the River Stour and its tributaries. Further rainfall is expected throughout this morning. As a result, River levels are expected to remain high in this area and there may be flooding to low lying land and roads. River levels are expected to remain raised throughout the remainder of today, so this Flood Alert will remain in force. Due to the heavy and persistent nature of this rainfall additional flood risk may occur, we will continue to monitor the situation and will issue Flood Warnings where required.
