Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Wendlebury Brook as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is possible this evening, 24/11/2024. Areas most at risk include properties on Church Lane and those closest to the Wendlebury Brook on the Wendlebury Road. Further rainfall is forecast overnight which should clear by the morning. We expect river levels to continue to rise over the next few hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. No further property flooding is expected. River levels have now peaked and are falling on the Wendlebury Brook following yesterday's very heavy rainfall. Therefore, no further flooding of property is expected but flooding of roads, low lying land and basements will continue today and tomorrow 25/09/2024 and water may remain in properties which are already flooded. Light showers are forecast today, with heavier rain forecast tomorrow 25/09/24 which could cause further flood impacts. We expect levels to continue to fall, but to remain high and sensitive to the further rainfall forecast tomorrow. Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens in the area.
